'In this workshop we will look at what makes an otherwise ordinary story irresistible. We will start with the main character — the person who is called to the center of events. Every story needs a formidable protagonist — someone who can be counted on to give a plot drive and propel the story forward. And what is a protagonist without an obstacle to overcome? It is only when something has gone terribly wrong that the person affected has the opportunity to make their reputation and become a memorable figure. These and other elements of narrative will be relied upon with the aim of developing a winning counter-story.
